These courses are designed for students who wish to get a headstart in preparing to meet the requirements of IB French in Years 12th and 13th.

During the course, your child will:

  • develop in depth his/her language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing, including vocabulary building and grammar accuracy;
  • practise speaking activities in a range of situations (debate, oral presentations...);
  • practise writing for expression (with a specific purpose or audience in mind) - with appropriate marking and performance reports;
  • learn to create constructive revision plans and develop general study skills.

Emphasis is on developing competence and confidence, as well as acquiring strong study skills and essential learning strategies.

IB Diploma

These courses are designed to offer special support over both years of the IB Diploma Programme. Our courses use the latest syllabuses and past papers and provide everything students need for exam understanding and success.

During the course, your child will:

  • develop proficiency, fluency, accuracy and confidence;
  • enrich his/her cultural awareness and gain insight into the countries where French is spoken;
  • learn to communicate in French appropriately in a range of contexts and or for a variety of purposes;
  • extend his/her proficiency in writing for different purposes and audiences;
  • refine his/her exam technique and essential learning strategies;
  • get a thorough understanding and grounding in the IB key concepts through guided practice with past examination papers - with appropriate marking and performance reports;
  • receive supportive and comprehensive guidance and evaluation;
  • maximise his/her final grades.

Students are expected to express themselves in French during classes. Emphasis is on reaching a higher level of competence, gaining a clear awareness of the examination tasks and appreciation of one's abilities, so as to feel calm, collected and confident on the big day and deliver the best.
